Wytchway to the woods?

Once the team has returned to Candlekeep our heroes meet with Miss Hollypocket who pays the team their gold, and introduces them the Janussi, Keeper of the Tomes and Archmage. Janussi asks them to tell her what happened with her books that had been attacking hapless scholars in her library, and Luocious, respecting the team's promise to not rat out the werejackals attempts to deceive Janussi by blaming the whole thing on rats. You'd think a rogue would be better at lying.  Anyhow...

Janussi, bemused, skips past this mighty digression, and diverts the conversation to a business proposition. Apparently the team seems to have some skill with sleuthing books and mysteries, and if the team agrees to her proposition they can have a permanent place at Candlekeep as the Keeper's Hands. Seems she needs some foolish and / or brave enough to go "get stuff done."

The team agree and she shares with them a prophecy she is keeping secret: within a year a fungal apocalypse will bloom across the Sword Coast and perhaps across Faerun if it is not stopped. Unfortunately, that's about where the prophecy stops, so Janussi suggests that while they accomplish Candlekeep's goals in the outside world, they also keep their eyes and snouts peeled for any mushroom-related mysteries.

With that she brings them to the great library where a curious book is waiting for them upon which is perched a raven. It's pecking at the wooden cover and looking at the group.  As they approach it hops off, and watches them as they open it. Nox tries to speak raven with it, but curiously it doesn't seem to speak that tongue.

In the the book is a first-person narrative about a girl who is found by the Vistani with a broken leg and nursed back to health in the back of a wagon and living with them happily until the book cuts abruptly off after the description of their arrival at a looming manse crouching deep within the woods. Also within the book is a map that either tells Evil to better watch out or warns everything else that there's some pesky Evil around:

Janussi, requests the team to investigate this map and tells them she has heard there used to be a town in the Wood of Sharp Teeth called Wytchwood so they should probably start there. The team is eager to begin their adventure that very second so excited they are to plunge into danger. Yet for some reason they decide to laze about resting at Candlekeep in their newly appointed rooms and getting drunk at the bar. It's the adventurer's life one must suppose. They do manage to rouse themselves in the morning and set off to the east.
